If you came over to visit, first of all, I would be thrilled! We'd chat the day away, laugh a ton and if you had time, we'd hit a few thrift stores. There are 6 thrift stores and 1 flea market within 30 minutes of my house. And I go to all of them! 3 of them, I go to every week.
Here are last weeks finds. I spent less than $20.00 on everything you see here. I have disciplined myself to ONLY buy what I have a plan for. (most of the time)
I hope to inspire the naysayers to give thrift stores a chance. I used to be a naysayer! I'd walk through one and say "this is junk." It took me a while to get the hang of thrifting and it really changed my life. I can

So many of you tell me that your thrift stores are not good.
My advice is to visit them often. I can walk through and be out in less than 3 minutes if nothing catches my eye. I know that my success with thrifting is due to me going often.
Thank you so much for stopping by
Thrift My House!
Sherry, my mom is moving to my little town in the next week and I told her we are going to hit the thrift stores. I've never been really good about that but we have a nice store about 2 miles from my house. You've convinced me.
ReplyDeleteI'd LOVE to come over and spend the day with you...and go thrifting!!!

You got a great deal. Love the candy dish. I use to buy everything I liked and than found out I did not have the space for them. I am very careful what I buy now, they have to have a place before I buy them.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds! -Marci @ Stone Cottage Adventures
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry, so glad to find your blog from visiting my friend Betty's Irish Cottage. You could be my neighbor. Let's go thrifting and start decorating!! Love the goodies you found. So enjoyed my visit to your blog and now a new follower too.
ReplyDeleteHave fun!!
Hugs
We're on the same page! I'd much rather shop thrift stores or garage sales than "real" stores these days...it's frugal, the stuff is better, and there's the "thrill of the hunt!" Following you back. :)
ReplyDeleteI am constantly amazed and inspired! I can't wait for my nieces to visit so we can scour the little towns around me.
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful finds, Sherry! I haven't been thrifting in quite a while...I need to get out there!
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry,
ReplyDeleteLove all your finds and what a great price. Love the metal basket that is pretty awesome. Great thrifting.

I think I need fabric like those pillow cases. Too bad I can't sew.
ReplyDeletegosh you did good girl, that dress is really cute
ReplyDeleteI thrift or use to now trying to declutter all my thrifty buys
I Love it all! I was a Naysayer too but I've discovered you have to go often and be prepared to come home empty handed sometimes.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was younger and lived with my parents, I used to hit the thrift stores for cool clothing that usually never fit. I would bring it home and ask, no tell, my mother how I would like her to tailor it for me. She usually thought it would make the skirt too short, or something like that, lol. Nowadays, like you, I thrift mostly for home decor and such. My how time changes ones focus. You really scored this round. The fabric on those pillow cases caught my eye for sure, and what a perfect sundress!!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds Sherry....I love, love, love thrift stores. Just between you and me, sometimes I get withdrawal systems when I haven't been to one in a while...Hee, Hee, Hee. So many treasures waiting to be discovered.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
❤️Ana
