1-2-3 Easy July 4th Craft Projects

Can you believe it's here already??? July 4th... this week!
Can we please slow down summer! I beg you!

Last week, I shared with you my patriotic pin wheels. You can see them here.

Here are a few more projects I've been working on.

What do you get when you combine some old denim, a thrift store pillowcase, and burlap?

3 quick and easy projects; just in time for your July 4th celebration.

The first thing I made were these flag pendents.

I love the buttons standing in for the stars.

Project 2, I decided to braid 3 strips of fabric and make a wreath.

I used rubber bands to secure the ends.

I had NO idea where I was going with this... I kept playing with it till I decided to loop it around and make a small wreath.

I tied the two strands together with twine. I punched holes in some chip board stars
(thank you Mom!) and tied them to the wreath.

This is so cute, I'm really happy how it turned out.

Last but not least, I made this rag banner. Very fast and easy!

And here we are....

Hope you all have a wonderful week
and a safe and Happy July 4th!
Thank you so much for stopping by Thrift My House!

  2. Love this Sherry. You are so crafty. I am going to have to start to call you Martha (Stewart) LOL!! Love the little 4th projects. I like the burlap banner. I am going to a 4th of July BBQ so I want to bring each of the girls a little favor so I might make these to give each of them. I think I can whip up a few this week. So cute.

  8. How cute! I have to confess to being the dud who never decorates for July 4th with the exception of hanging our flag. :)

I love the way you have your couch layered.

  13. Hi Sherry, It's so nice to meet you. Thank you for coming by my blog, I love meeting new friends. I love what you created out of just a few pieces of fabric. I don't think I would have thought about using the pillowcase but it is perfect with the burlap and denim. Great projects! I'll be back. Blessings, Cindy

  16. It's like someone can put a pile of junk in front of you and say, "make something" and you do. All three of these are so creative, totally cute and like you say EASY! Love and pinned. I know what you mean about slowing the summer down. Have a happy and healthy 4th of July ~ Amy

  18. Love your wreath and banner Sherry! I have to tell you I'm sooo impressed and amazed with how patriotic my American " cousins " are - I don't think I've ever made a thing for Canada day! I love my Country but I've never taken the time to show it on it's birthday - have to do something about that !
    Have a happy 4th girlfriend!
