A Thrifty Centerpiece.

I've always struggled with centerpieces for the bar and dining room table.
I love pretty but I also need practical.

Do you see what I see? Besides ugly? I picked these up cheap.
I liked the size and I instantly knew what I would do with them.

I took them apart, sanded, and painted. Then I nailed them back together.

Do you see the pretty? And the practical?
My daughter bought me these little bird salt and pepper shakers.

I love the size of these boxes. They don't take up much room
and they're easy to move whenever we start our baking.

The red and white really make it festive.

I used the other one on the dining room table.
Can you believe I picked up this beautiful jar for 2 bucks?

I look forward to changing this up season to season.

 I hope you were inspired!
Thank you for stopping by Thrift My House.

  9. I love your centerpiece.

I have to move our centerpiece off of the table during meals because Steve doesn't like anything between us to distract him. A box is a great idea because I can just lift up the entire thing.

    Happy Christmas

  16. You've got vision!! I would not have seen those pretty white trays as center pieces from the original thrifted pieces. Both cp are very pretty. Love that glass jar and what's most special is the little birds gift from your daughter!
