It looks great, quite realistic. I'd love to try this but think our dog would be licking off any he could reach, heaven only knows what cat might do. How long did it take you to put some on all those branches?
This is first year in way too many I bought a real tree. Not big and not real pretty but it's real. Bought it at FFA lot in small town close to us. I want to smell real tree for once, to me that's part of pleasure of Christmas. Many memories from childhood of real tree smell. In those days the tree wasn't put up/decorated until kids were in bed Christmas Eve. Poor parents.
I bought some kind of galvanized tub container at Walmart with handles on each side, bought especially for real tree. Didn't buy stand, stuck trunk in some styrofoam then started piling lots of rocks around it to keep it upright. I did that one time when we lived in MT. Bought cheap tree just couple days before Christmas, took it home trying to figure out how could put it in something to stand up. Found some kind of bucket and piled rocks out of yard in it to hold it. We had lots of rocks in yard and it was really cold out and dark looking for those rocks. We were pretty broke right then so thought that little Charlie Brown tree was whole lot better than nothing. Decorated it that night, boy was I tired, but wanted it to be all ready when hubs got home off the road as long distance trucker. He was impressed with my resourcefulness getting it to stand up.
Once you get all the "stuff" on a tree who cares how great the tree is? Well not me anyway. We had one like that one year in San Diego when we had just moved into a place with 4 young kids. We made ornaments and had great time with that tree. Believe it or not our kids still remember that tree and that time. Boy it seems this time of year really re-kindles the memories and I have 75 yrs. of them. 47 yrs. with hubs. Have a wonderful holiday season with your kids, those memories are so precious.
Happy dazesrpprcrftrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02861352034915359506noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8264090993272772256.post-72159566661339633402015-12-03T14:21:08.052-05:002015-12-03T14:21:08.052-05:00
